Award of the PTI Mark

The PTI Mark recognises excellent subject provision

Members of the Subject Leadership Programme set annual objectives across four development areas or embark on a three-year action research project. The PTI Mark is awarded to recognise progress and commitment. The Mark is achieved by focusing on: coherence and a quality of challenge within the curriculum; extending and enthusing pupils with activities that go beyond the curriculum; development and exploration of teachers' own specialist subject knowledge; and raising the profile of their subject within education.
