The PTI wish to celebrate schools that share our values; we believe long-term commitment to embedding The PTI philosophy into educational practice creates real impact. We want to recognise the courage and initiative of schools who empower inspirational teaching and subject specific pedagogy.

"Situated in the heart of Cumbria, our one-form entry primary school is driven by the firm belief – shared with The PTI – that passionate, motivated teachers are the fundamental catalysts for educational excellence. We are dedicated to delivering a rigorous, high-quality, and joyful education to every child, ensuring that background or ability never acts as a barrier to achievement. By fostering an environment where staff are inspired to lead, we ensure our pupils are equally inspired to learn.

Our commitment to professional growth and systemic improvement is long-standing. Since 2018, we have been active participants in The PTI Leadership Symposium, and we are proud to serve as The PTI Hub Lead for the South Lakes. This dedication to the profession extends to the next generation of educators, evidenced by our Early Career Teacher’s recent involvement in The PTI ECT programme. This culture of continuous improvement culminated in our school receiving The PTI Impact Award for our transformative work in Art, both within the classroom and through extracurricular enrichment.

As a rural school, we are acutely aware of our role in broadening horizons and providing a window to the wider world. Our mission is to provide a rich curriculum built upon first-hand experiences that allow children to discover their unique gifts and talents. We aim to empower our pupils to flourish together, using their abilities to serve and enrich their local community. Through this blend of academic rigour and experiential learning, we ensure that our small school offers big opportunities for every child to shine."
