The PTI wish to celebrate schools that share our values; we believe long-term commitment to embedding The PTI philosophy into educational practice creates real impact. We want to recognise the courage and initiative of schools who empower inspirational teaching and subject specific pedagogy.

"At Eltham Hill School we have engaged in The PTI's events since 2015 and have been Unlimited members since 2019. Since that time, we have been impressed by the effective communication (including check-ins and updates) about the increasingly huge range of CPD opportunities provided. The PTI really understands the pressures schools are under and the research-informed, cost-effective events: residentials, day sessions and online after school workshops all fit around teachers' busy schedules and have measurable impact.

Our staff particularly love the Enrichment Residentials at York and Cambridge Universities, where well-planned sessions (and great hospitality!) are invaluable for reflection and goal setting. These have led to significant gains in middle leaders' capacity.

Feedback from colleagues shows that they find the process of obtaining the Subject Expertise Certificates and Subject Leadership Marks process very beneficial.

Last year, we were awarded Subject Marks in Art, Maths and Science in recognition of our commitment to developing a challenging curriculum, enthusing pupils through extra-curricular subject-based activities, enriching teachers’ own subject knowledge and encouraging subject links.

“As the Art lead for my department, I have taken part in The PTI and found the subject-specific training and the celebration day to be excellent, including the practical workshops on Gelli plate printing last year, which I have since embedded into KS4 and KS5 lessons, and a painting workshop this year. The programme’s inclusion of time to visit a gallery was particularly valuable and enriched the experience further.”Alice Pascual, Art Teacher

After developing her expertise through The PTI Subject Leadership pathway, our Professional Development Lead has been given the opportunity to take on the role of The PTI Maths Programmes Coordinator, where she has successfully planned and delivered a wide range of sessions for Maths teachers nationwide. These have spanned from the Subject Expertise Certificate to the Subject Enrichment Residential and the Department Development Programme, ensuring teachers are supported at every stage of their professional journey. She has become deeply passionate about The PTI’s mission to empower teachers to enrich curricula, embrace challenge, and ultimately transform young people’s outcomes.

In 2025, we were awarded The PTI Leadership Mark and the Assistant Head involved said:

"Being part of The PTI has been a fantastic experience - the opportunities provided by the Leadership Award Programme have broadened my awareness of a number of key issues in education and given me access to a range of models of excellent leadership. The lectures and talks have been fascinating and those from teachers in other schools have provided a fantastic body of ideas on which to draw.”Di Baker, Head of Sixth Form

As headteacher I really value The PTI Leadership Symposium each year where I get to listen to top quality speakers and discuss the big issues facing us in education. Eltham Hill is committed to providing a top quality inclusive, comprehensive education for our community and supporting our staff to develop as experts in their fields. Our membership of the PTI has been instrumental in helping us do both these things."
